Privacy policy

Last updated September 11, 2026

This policy explains what mobilehomeparkreviews.com does with personal information. The short version: the site is a set of static pages, we run no advertising, analytics are off unless you allow them, and the only personal information we hold is what you email us.

What we collect

Information you send us

If you email us — to claim a listing, ask for a correction, or anything else — we receive your name, your email address, and whatever you write. A claim request asks for your name and a work email address so we can check you against the owner or manager named on the state registry record.

Information collected automatically

We run no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no session recording. Our hosting provider keeps standard web server logs — IP address, time, the page requested, browser user agent — for security and reliability. We do not use those logs to profile visitors or to identify anyone.

Analytics

If, and only if, you allow it on the consent notice, we load PostHog to count page views. It records the page you viewed, the page that referred you, your browser and device type, and a coarse location derived from your IP address. It does not receive your name or email address, and we have it configured with no session recording, no click or form capture, no heatmaps, and no person profiles for anonymous visitors — we want to know which parks people look for, not who is reading. The data is processed in the United States by PostHog under its own privacy policy.

PostHog is not loaded, and no request reaches it, before you allow it or if you deny it. It also honours a Do Not Track setting in your browser. To withdraw consent, use the Change cookie choices link in the footer and choose Deny; it stops loading from your next page view.

Local storage in your browser

The site stores your answer to the consent notice, and small interface preferences, in your browser's local storage. That data is first-party, stays on your device, and is never sent to us. The cookie notice describes it in full.

Payment information

We do not take payments today. If paid claimed listings start, payment details would go directly to a third-party payment processor under its own privacy policy; we would see only enough to know that a subscription is active.

Where park data comes from

Park pages are built from public records rather than from anything a visitor gives us: state mobile home park registries, state and county inspection and complaint records, and publicly visible Google Maps listings. Those records sometimes name people — an owner, an operator, or the contact on a registration — and Google review text names its author. We quote review text in part and attribute and link it to the author and the original review.

If a record about you appears here and you want it corrected or removed, email hello@mobilehomeparkreviews.com with the page address. We correct what we can verify and remove what should not be published.

How we use it

  • to answer your email and verify a listing claim;
  • to correct, update, or remove a page at your request;
  • to keep the site running and secure;
  • to count page views, where you allowed analytics, so we know which parks people look for;
  • to meet a legal obligation or respond to a lawful request.

We do not use your information for advertising or marketing, and we do not send newsletters.

Who else sees it

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

  • Our hosting and email provider serves these pages and forwards mail sent to our address, so it processes request logs and the email you send us.
  • PostHog receives the page-view data described above, in the United States — but only if you allow analytics.
  • OpenStreetMap serves the map on a park page and sees your IP address, user agent, and which map tiles were requested. It loads with the page, on park pages that have coordinates. We send it nothing about you beyond what any browser sends when it fetches an image.
  • A payment processor, if and when paid claimed listings start, would handle payment details directly.
  • Legal: we may disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the site's or someone's rights or safety.

Following an outbound link takes you to a site with its own privacy practices, which we do not control.

How long we keep it

We keep email for as long as we need it to handle your request and keep a record of a verified claim, and delete it when it is no longer needed. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider under its own retention schedule, and page-view data by PostHog under its own.

Your rights and choices

Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to give you a copy, to correct it, or to delete it, and we will honour that request unless the law requires us to keep something. Residents of California and other U.S. states with privacy laws have these rights by statute, along with the right not to be treated differently for exercising them.

  • We do not sell or share personal information for money or for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of.
  • We do not profile you or make automated decisions about you.
  • We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information.

To exercise any of this, email hello@mobilehomeparkreviews.com from the address you wrote to us from, or tell us enough to find the record. We may ask you to confirm a detail so we do not hand your information to someone else. We answer within 45 days. If we say no, you can reply and ask us to look again.

Note that public records republished here are not ours to erase at source: we can remove or correct our page, but the state agency's record stays where it is.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and holds no accounts, no passwords, and no database of visitors. Email we receive is protected by the ordinary security of our mail provider. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

We will update this page and the date at the top when our practices change.

Contact

Email hello@mobilehomeparkreviews.com. That address reaches the people who run the site.

A note on this page: it is a plain-English starting point written by the people who run this site, not by a lawyer, and no lawyer has reviewed it. It describes what the site actually does today. If something here is wrong or unclear, email hello@mobilehomeparkreviews.com and we will fix it.
